Distributed organizations are  ‘reconfigurable’. As articulated by Galbraith in 2010, the power of the truly reconfigurable organization lies with the leaders who can move work to where talent, capabilities, and capacity are, regardless of where they are in the world. The ongoing pandemic has disrupted our ways of working. The rise of the #distributedorganization entails people across different locations, working together to achieve the shared objectives. It enables local leadership to pursue goals with autonomy, with the central organization focusing on the overall strategy. Based on our survey findings and extensive secondary research, LagomWorks has identified seven key trends and corresponding How Might We statements that are defining change (and innovation) within distributed organizations.
