Context:

Our client is a Europe headquartered prominent global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications and labels. A global market leader in advanced packaging ink, the Group has been operating for 6 generations, making it one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Europe. It serves customers in more than 100 countries.

The client organization launched its Leadership Programme ‘iGrow’ for all the leaders of the organization in March, 2018. To sustain the momentum on Individual actions plans formulated post completion of modules on ‘managing teams’, it embarked on a three – months coaching journey for its team leaders.

Collaboration with LagomWorks:

This coaching journey touched 68 leaders of the organization in the groups’ largest site outside Europe with over 500 employees. It consisted of:

  • Three rounds of group coaching conversations (90 minutes each; 6-8 Leaders in each group).
  • Identification of best practice leaders (leaders who have made significant progress on their action plans).
  • Recognition of best practice leaders with proven business impact.

Impact

The past few years have been remarkable for the client organization as its revenue increased from around INR 450 crore in FY16 to around INR 900 crore in FY23. Some of the projects successfully implemented during the coaching journey which contributed to this success included:

New product development (launch of a new UV-LED ink product)

Productivity enhancement (Involving operators in production Planning reduced machine shutdown and increased continuous production of 16 hrs. per day, thereby increasing productivity and reducing the conversion cost by 4.5%)Recovery of missed out revenues etc.
