Context:

Our client is the global leader in the publishing and information analytics industry. In the midst of pivoting to digital, the company was looking at successful completion of key digital projects and making visible progress towards budgeted revenue and profitability. This had to be completed after the disruption caused by the COVID pandemic, which led to virtual working and new leaders joining the team in a virtual mode.

LagomWorks was empaneled as a partner in this journey to create a process of discovery and reflection for the leadership team, leading to shifts in ways-of-working that could ensure smooth flow of information and work at the leadership level. Stronger trust levels was a key requirement. The 18 -months journey finally touched each and every aspect of organizational functioning.

Collaboration with LagomWorks:

Human-centred, immersive, embracing diversity and balance were the principles on which the entire journey was built and shaped. The CultureBonds framework (proprietary to LagomWorks) and HPT Behaviours helped us decipher the enablers and barriers, with the client operating principles serving as the north star to prioritize actions.

Divided into five stages – research, visualization and immersion, ideation, integration and internalization, it was a journey which took the leaders from the inner to the outer realm. We  identified what will be the best ways to support these leaders in fulfilling their professional and personal aspirations, while optimizing their contribution to organizational goals.

Finally, we carried out ideation sprints with each of the in-scope incubatee companies, funders and mentors to play back research in the form of how-might-we problem statements, generate ideas, prioritise and evaluate them, and move ahead with interventions.

“I feel we are like a group of islands in the sea, close to each other but not connected. There are no visible bridges.” Finally, it was about building these bridges.
